  • Goodbye…
    By on May 26th, 2010 | 115 Comments115 Comments Comments

Due to some personal reasons of mine, I have decided to leave Skream Your Lungs Out. Gave a lot thought about that, but I made up my mind. I enjoyed my stay here and I have met some nice people, but it’s time to move onto some new projects. I’ll miss this place for sure and remember it fondly…

I am opening a new blog called “Natures With No Plagues” (found here) for sharing music and writing about releases, gigs and stuff, so those of you who have enjoyed my posts in the last year(s) I hope you join me over there as well. And also I hope the remainder of the SYLO crew would like to have me as a partner blog.

    Hugs for all,
    xmoon

  • Rosa Parks – EP (2010)

    Download

    bitrate: 128 kBit/s
    genre: Post-Rock
    country: Hungary
notes: Apparently, the guys from Rosa Parks are a bit shy, so Botond from Itai Itai asked me to post their ep if I like it. And I like it. Very much in fact. I took a listen to it only once though, but it was love from the first tune. Check them out, quite fine music.

  • Francis Brady – Demo & Self-titled (2002)
    By on May 11th, 2010 | 114 Comments114 Comments Comments

    Download

    bitrate: 192 kBit/s
    genre: Screamo
    country: Germany
notes: Uploading this for a friend… Something old, something great. A very short lived band, several releases and a tour after which it was all over, but luckily they left us with some amazing material. I mean, nine band members, come on, that alone is worth your while! A “must” download.

  • Teleport Me, Johny – EP (2010)
    By on May 8th, 2010 | 27 Comments27 Comments Comments

    Download

    bitrate: 128 kBit/s
    genre: Screamo
    country: Estonia
notes: Got a message regarding this band by one of it’s members. As I type this I am listening to this release for the second time, so my thoughts are still quite unformed. But I have to say, I definitely like this. Completely chaotic at times, while sometimes very slow, the four songs bring some various elements. Check them out!

  • Carrion Spring – Demo (2010)
    By on May 5th, 2010 | 113 Comments113 Comments Comments

    Download

    bitrate: 128 kBit/s
    genre: Screamo, Post-hardcore
    country: USA
notes: Ok, for a start, let me just tell you this – this band is purely amazing, period. So. Much. Ass. Kicking. Thom, a member of Carrion Spring sent me a message to take a listen to their two song demo, saying that they draw influences from bands such as Kidcrash, Envy, Logs… And they oh-so justify that statement. Brilliant work, the demo left me quite speechless. They have a four-way split coming out soon (with The Discord of a Forgotten Sketch , Beau Navire , Te Lloraría un Puto Río), I’m looking forward to it very much. Download this, trust me, this is something you put on your top releases list.

  • Throats – Throats (2010)
    By on April 25th, 2010 | 36 Comments36 Comments Comments

    Download

    bitrate: 320 kBit/s
    genre: Hardcore, Screamo, something
    country: United Kingdom
notes: I just had to post this thing, simply because it really stuck in my player when I first heard this band. Completely angry and chaotic mix of screamo, hardcore, noise and other pissed-off shit, Throats throw quite a punch. I could only imagine experiencing this live…

  • Time To Burn – Is.Land
    By on April 13th, 2010 | 109 Comments109 Comments Comments

    Download

    bitrate: 231 kBit/s (vbr)
    genre: Screamo, Sludge, Post-Hardcore
    country: France
notes: As requested, here is the outstanding Time To Burn. Brilliant chaotic and explosive songs drenched in a sad and melancholic tone, these guys bring some really unique tunes. As far as I remember, it was this band that actually got me interested in the whole Post-Hardcore/Metal genre. They were on a bit of break as far as playing goes, but as of late they have announced a few shows, so be sure not to miss those if you can. Aside of Is.Land, they have one more excellent release called “Starting Point”. Enjoy.

  • Das Plague – ST (2006)
    By on April 5th, 2010 | 92 Comments92 Comments Comments

    Download

    bitrate: 192 kBit/s
    genre: Screamo
    country: Spain
notes: Long time since my last post, so I thought I would come back with a bit older post. Spanish screamo band, amazing work, but all they got to release was just this self-titled, sadly. The dual vocals and great melodies are really pushing this project up high. Members later moved on and continued playing in bands such as Ekkaia and Blünt.

  • Black Hole Kids – Demo (2010)
    By on March 15th, 2010 | 112 Comments112 Comments Comments

    Download

    bitrate: 160 kBit/s
    genre: Screamo, Punk
    country: USA
notes: Yesterday I was contacted by a very friendly member of BHK, so he gave me their demo to take a listen. Honestly, instant liking of the tunes! The four songs continued to spin nonstop on my player, since I was quite attracted by the vocal and the sort of catchyness of the melodies. BHK is influenced by a variety of genres, such as crust, punk, screamo and post-hardcore, but the thing I liked the most was the ever clinging tone of ’80s hardcore. Very interesting band, hope you boys and girls check them out.

  • Insuiciety – The Cure for the Truth (2009)
    By on March 8th, 2010 | 114 Comments114 Comments Comments

    Download

    bitrate: 128 kBit/s
    genre: Sludge
    country: Poland/Germany
notes: I was under the impression that I posted it a while ago, but guess what…I didn’t. Which basically surprises me, since I was under huge euphoria after their show last year here in my hometown. This is their first full lenght, and wow is it great! 5 songs, 30 minutes of juicy, slow and thundering sludge sound! Definitely one of the best vocals in sludge genre and yeah you guessed it, it’s a female singer! She absolutely blew me away live (as well as the rest of the band), stunning performance which really puts a seal of “perfection” on this act. Check it out, they deserve the attention.
