genre: screamo/post-hardcore
genre: sounds like 90’s Punk, Emotive Hardcore,
country: USA
Thoughts: I know this is the first post for me on this site, I love music, and I intend on sharing it with you…I just heard of this band, and I instantly liked them. They remind me of some of my hometown sounds such as The Riot Before, and another now defunct band In Circles. I will post them in due time…. I look forward to sharing my musical knowledge with you all. Happy blogging, and check them out, they have a slight gritty sound to them not totally indecisive but kinda raspy, Think cleaner than Hot Water Music but has Chuck Ragan’s Angst. Check out there website. Good lyrics, they remind me of early Boy Sets Fire, or Snapcase type of lyrics….
Genre: Screamo\Post-Metal
Country: Russia
Notes: The first time I got this album, I literally played the first track and said, Wow, why did no one tell me about these guys before? They have a great playing style with creative instrumental breakdowns, while they take the metal elements and the screamo vocal style, and fuse it all together into an ambient, dark, and well put together album.
genre: hardcore/screamo
country: sweden
notes: This is one of swedens few (but great) girlfriend hardcore bands. You’ll like them if you dig screamy melodic hardcore, and i guess most of you are. Quite dissonant at times, i like it. Lots of d-beat and moshable pieces. Get into it.
genre: USA
country: Screamo
notes: Barrow is a four-piece from Greensboro, North Carolina playing heavy, textured, emotional music. They’re a perfect mixture of screamo, post-hardcore, and hardcore. Reminding at times of La Dispute and other times of Titain/Celeste. Barrow brings a unique flavor of music that will leave you drooling for more.
Genre: Hardcore/Emo
Country: UK
Notes: Manbearpig is the new kids on the block in modern melodic hardcore that meets emo.
I’ve seen them a fair amount of places on the interwebs now, so i had to give it a listen, and to be honest, i was pleased. Their name is not as good as their music is, tho. They put this album up for free themselves. Give it a try if you like Touche Amore or Defeater.

genre: Screamo, Post-hardcore
country: USA
notes: Ok, for a start, let me just tell you this – this band is purely amazing, period. So. Much. Ass. Kicking. Thom, a member of Carrion Spring sent me a message to take a listen to their two song demo, saying that they draw influences from bands such as Kidcrash, Envy, Logs… And they oh-so justify that statement. Brilliant work, the demo left me quite speechless. They have a four-way split coming out soon (with The Discord of a Forgotten Sketch , Beau Navire , Te Lloraría un Puto Río), I’m looking forward to it very much. Download this, trust me, this is something you put on your top releases list.

genre: Screamo, Sludge, Post-Hardcore
country: France
notes: As requested, here is the outstanding Time To Burn. Brilliant chaotic and explosive songs drenched in a sad and melancholic tone, these guys bring some really unique tunes. As far as I remember, it was this band that actually got me interested in the whole Post-Hardcore/Metal genre. They were on a bit of break as far as playing goes, but as of late they have announced a few shows, so be sure not to miss those if you can. Aside of Is.Land, they have one more excellent release called “Starting Point”. Enjoy.
