genre: Hardcore
country: Australia
notes: The Dead Ends is a hardcore band from Australia. You can definitely hear a bit of screamo and post-hardcore in this as well. This release really fucking rips. I was impressed.

ColorChromatic – Tenet (2010)By thestarsinjanuary on October 1st, 2010 | No Comments
bitrate: 320 kBit/s
genre: Screamo/Hardcore/Punk
country: USA
notes: ColorChromatic is a skramz-esque band from California. So many good releases this year. This is definitely one to add to that list. Some of you might not even call this screamo but who cares good music is good music. Elements of punk rock, hardcore, and rock are present. Definitely check it out. -

bitrate: 320 kBit/s
genre: Hardcore/Screamo

notes: viceversa is a screamo/hardcore band from Denmark. Fast guitar drumming, sing along parts, and sections of complete chaos make this band extremely fun to listen to. Reminds me of Calculator + Saetia. Definitely pick this amazing release up. -
Burn Idols – Burn Idols + From The Darkest Corners, Comes the Deepest BluesBy thestarsinjanuary on September 11th, 2010 | 109 Comments
bitrate: 320 kBit/s
genre: Screamo/Hardcore
country: USA
notes: Burn idols is a dark chaotic screamo band from California. Elements of hardcore, crust, and grindcore are also present, which makes them very enjoyable to listen to when you’re in the mood for heavy music. Sometimes fast, sometimes pushing drone metal, but always brutal. The kind of music that makes you want to mosh in your bedroom and fucking tear shit up. -
Gonzo and Laatste Halte Split (2010)By thestarsinjanuary on August 30th, 2010 | 110 Comments
bitrate: 320 kBit/s
genre: Screamo/Hardcore/Punk
country: The Netherlands
notes: Gonzo is a screamo/hardcore band from the Netherlands. Almost pushing crust, sluge, and metalcore at times. Reminds me a lot of Curl Up and Die. Great slow but chaotic music, has that european skramz feel. Laatste Halte is also a screamo/punk band from the Netherlands. Faster music that counteracts the Gonzo side of the split greatly. Great vocals and innovative guitar riffs make them extremely fun to listen to. I hear some La Quiete influence. Definitely check this split out!myspace (gonzo)

Date Rape – The First Date Rape (2010)By thestarsinjanuary on August 26th, 2010 | 115 Comments
bitrate: 320 kBit/s
genre: Screamo/Hardcore
country: Ukraine
notes: I’m really happy to fulfill my first request on SYLO with this amazing band. Date Rape is a screamo/hardcore band from Kiev, Ukraine. They combine elements of screamo, hardcore, and punk. The recording style is more DIY and I love that. I love the vocals. They remind me a lot of the european screamo bands (Raein, Amanda Woodward, Daïtro), which I don’t have to remind you is a fucking good thing. -
Sed Non Satiata – Sed Non Satiata (2010)By thestarsinjanuary on August 23rd, 2010 | 115 Comments
bitrate: 320 kBit/s
genre: screamo/post-rock
country: France
notes: Sed Non Satiata is a post-rock influenced screamo band from France. This is their newest release and is arguably one of the best releases of the year so far. It seems to be less of a screamo album and more of a post-rock album but is still amazing in every respect. If you’ve never heard of this band definitely check it out. One of the best active screamo bands imo.
