notes: Got a message regarding this band by one of it’s members. As I type this I am listening to this release for the second time, so my thoughts are still quite unformed. But I have to say, I definitely like this. Completely chaotic at times, while sometimes very slow, the four songs bring some various elements. Check them out!

genre: Screamo, Post-hardcore
country: USA
notes: Ok, for a start, let me just tell you this – this band is purely amazing, period. So. Much. Ass. Kicking. Thom, a member of Carrion Spring sent me a message to take a listen to their two song demo, saying that they draw influences from bands such as Kidcrash, Envy, Logs… And they oh-so justify that statement. Brilliant work, the demo left me quite speechless. They have a four-way split coming out soon (with The Discord of a Forgotten Sketch , Beau Navire , Te Lloraría un Puto Río), I’m looking forward to it very much. Download this, trust me, this is something you put on your top releases list.

genre: Hardcore, Screamo, something

notes: I just had to post this thing, simply because it really stuck in my player when I first heard this band. Completely angry and chaotic mix of screamo, hardcore, noise and other pissed-off shit, Throats throw quite a punch. I could only imagine experiencing this live…

notes: As requested, here is the outstanding Time To Burn. Brilliant chaotic and explosive songs drenched in a sad and melancholic tone, these guys bring some really unique tunes. As far as I remember, it was this band that actually got me interested in the whole Post-Hardcore/Metal genre. They were on a bit of break as far as playing goes, but as of late they have announced a few shows, so be sure not to miss those if you can. Aside of Is.Land, they have one more excellent release called “Starting Point”. Enjoy.

genre: Screamo
country: Spain
notes: Long time since my last post, so I thought I would come back with a bit older post. Spanish screamo band, amazing work, but all they got to release was just this self-titled, sadly. The dual vocals and great melodies are really pushing this project up high. Members later moved on and continued playing in bands such as Ekkaia and Blünt.

genre: Screamo, Punk
country: USA
notes: Yesterday I was contacted by a very friendly member of BHK, so he gave me their demo to take a listen. Honestly, instant liking of the tunes! The four songs continued to spin nonstop on my player, since I was quite attracted by the vocal and the sort of catchyness of the melodies. BHK is influenced by a variety of genres, such as crust, punk, screamo and post-hardcore, but the thing I liked the most was the ever clinging tone of ’80s hardcore. Very interesting band, hope you boys and girls check them out.

genre: Screamo
country: Sweden
notes: By accident I found out these guys released this new thingy. Some of you probably know about this band, those who don’t, well here is a good opportunity. This release brings us 10 new songs…Usually I’m NOT a fan of albums having more then 5-6 songs. But here, it doesn’t matter, since the whole album is fast-paced and very, very interesting and enjoyable, so you don’t get the feeling that it is long or anything. Great release, check it out!

bitrate: 320 kBit/s
genre: Screamo
country: France
notes: Yes, I have become a lazy bastard and posts here have become quite rare. But the sheer awesomeness of this release has kicked me out of hibernation. Kazan continues the French tradition of some of the best screamo tunes a country can offer. Amazing melodies, stunning vocals and a great ability to set up a specific mood. Definitely check these guys out, it is absolutely worth your time.
