    Download

    bitrate: Various (128 kBit/s and 155 kBit/s (vbr))
    genre: Emo
    country: USA
notes: I feel quite guilty for posting this, since these songs are unreleased (and currently I don’t know are they planned to be released or not). But the three songs are circling the web, although only among a small group of people. So if anyone from Reaching away sees this and wants me to put it down from the blog, I will. Until then… Reaching away are 4 members, 3 hail from the legendary emo band The Pine. This is just one of those bands that you are really speechless about. Absolutely fantastic and stunning songs, the guys from the Pine grown up now but definitely haven’t lost their touch! Don’t miss the chance to take a listen, this is what emo should sound like!

    Download

    bitrate: 192 kBit/s
    genre: Emo, Screamo
    country: USA
notes: Either it was my incompetence or just plain bad luck, but I couldn’t get a hold of this release in a long time. But finally I have it and I’m very happy to share it with you boys and girls. Pre-Life At These Speeds. And that’s about all I’ll say. Just take a listen, this is amazing stuff.

  • Lobo’s Son – The Circle Cuts (song)

    Download

    bitrate: 194 kBit/s (vbr)
    genre: Acoustic, Emo
    country:
notes: This is probably one of my favorite unknown song/artist out there. This song was featured on the “This Is Your Life” compilation released by “Ape Must Not Kill Ape” records back in 2004. And that’s all I know about this band. Don’t know where it’s from, they have no other songs(at least I haven’t found any in the past years), no Lastfm page. I found a band with the same name on myspaz, but they ain’t replying about is this their song. Either way, completely unknown band, but this song is absolutely stunning. Love at first listen, so to speak. Enjoy…

  • Watership Down – 7” (1997)
By xmoonXhowlerx on December 3rd, 2009 | No Comments Comments

    Download

    bitrate: 192 kBit/s
    genre: Emo, Hardcore
    country: USA
notes: Way back in 1997, there was this band and all three songs they recorded were absolutely amazing. What strikes me the most is that this band is quite unknown, so this is the chance to correct that. Take a listen, enjoy and feel sad that this band fell apart in 2003.

  • Bare Arms – 3” EP

    Download

    bitrate: 160 kBit/s
    genre: Emo, Screamo
    country: Australia
notes: This band I reeeeally like! And it was a great surprise when Thomas, a dude from Bare Arms, contacted me about putting a link up on the blog…don’t mind if I do! Excellent band, with a great reputation of playing with famous bands such as Daniel Stripped Tiger, La Dispute… Angry and sometimes slow and gentle vocals, with fast pounding tunes make your chest pound while listening. First two songs on this release are probably the best female vocal featuring songs I have ever heard. Oh and by the way, they have the best description on Lastfm…ever!
    “Bare Arms come from Sydney.
They are made of a High School Teacher, a Design Student, a Printing Student and a Personal Assistant/ Vegan Cupcake Baker.
Some of them played in the Thaw and When Chimps Attack
They are a band and act as such”

  • Sore Eyelids – Sore Eyelids (2009)

    Download

    bitrate: 320 kBit/s
    genre: Emo
    country: Sweden
notes: Sore Eyelids features members from the legendary Suis La Lune. Need I say more? I do? Well, to be honest, these tunes are the most beautiful tunes I have heard since hearing the epic emo band The Pine. A soothing voice puts you into a calm place surrounded by gentle chaos created by stunningly played instruments. This masterpiece will be released on tape, so keep your eyes on it and if you can, get it, this project deserves both support and attention.

  • Radio Burroughs – The Principles Of Hope Or Hybris (2009)

    Download

    bitrate: 220kbit (VBR)
    genre: Emo
    country: Germany
notes: Time to upload something nice and sweet and less dark and brOOtal:) If you, by any chance, red my Petethepiratesquid/Radio Burroughs show review, then you know how I feel about this band. So I really don’t know why I haven’t uploaded this jewel a lot earlier. Download and enjoy, this is one very lovely band.

  • Melete – Tour EP (2009)
By xmoonXhowlerx on November 5th, 2009 | No Comments Comments

    Download

    bitrate: 180 kBit/s
    genre: Emo, Crust
    country: Slovenia
notes: Ok, time for some non-screamo content to be posted by me. And this band deserves it, since as much as I see it has a really small fan-base, which is a big no no. Saw them this year in Belgrade, these guys play really astounding emo/crust/hardcore, they put on quite an intense show. Diy to the core with some nice understandings on how underground music scene should be. In emo we crust:) P.S. They don’t own a myspaz page, so check them out here http://www.bizniscore.blogspot.com/

  • 125, Rue Montmartre – Selftitled [7"] (2000)

    Download

    Bitrate: 192 kBit/s
    Genre: Indiemo
    Country: Germany
Notes: 125, Rue Montmartre was a Indie/Emo Band from Bielefeld, Germany with female vocals. They were around from 1998-2000. Unfortunatly this rip has a pretty bad quality.
